We can’t imagine a gift from a stranger. It is only our loving near and dear ones who give us a gift. So the gift is undeniably loaded with lots of love. Whether it is a celebration or a random gesture of love, gifts hold a lot of affection. Love has nothing to do with lavish gifts. Even if it is a small one, it is priceless. Love is precious after all.

2. Efforts involved

There are some really serious efforts involved in choosing a right gift. Estimation of a budget, interests of the recipient, deciding the gift and availability of the same at the shop is a hefty task. There are times when people like impressing the recipient by showing their skills and creativity. Handmade gifts require an investment of time. Investing time in arranging the best gift for your loved one is certainly an effort worth appreciation.

3. It made you feel special

Gifts are one of the best ways to make your loved one feel special. Unboxing a gift is associated with an unboxing of love. A gift is nothing but a small expression of love with the power of making one overjoyed. It shows care and attention the person has shown towards you.

4. Your importance

We do something only for people we value. Gifts are a token of love for those lovely people in our lives. There are gifts for various moments in life. To say thank you, sorry, congratulations, best wishes etc., we give gifts. Value of the recipient is not measured by the price tag but the love tag that showed you are important.

5. Not everyone is lucky enough

We all are not lucky enough to give and take gifts. You cannot buy a gift and present it to a random person. You need a special person for that. There are instances in our life when we value things only after losing it. So, even if you are gifted a horrible gift, assure yourself of being lucky enough. Appreciate it, treasure it.

Gifts can be horrible, but please keep in mind these five reasons why you should appreciate it. Enjoy every gift, no matter how big or small it is.

Gift is a way of showing our love, care, and importance. Don’t fight on how horrible it is, instead enjoy the feeling of being special and loved.

  1. There is a reason why it is called gift, for it is loaded with love and surprise. Sure, some surprises are not up to your expectations. So what, the fact that someone thought about you should trump all other reasons. What a beautiful reminder. Thank you for sharing

  2. Great post! So true, we all get so upset if someone isn’t into our gift, but we shouldn’t give gifts in anticipation of getting praised for it. Also, we need to be polite when given a gift! Love this!

    • Haha..We all do so. It’s completely fine but feelings should be respected. Fighting with hubby is inevitable..lol. Husbands always try to gift us something, they can use. Even I fight for such things, but then one day it turned to me and then this thought sparked and I thought let me share it with all because we all are more or less the same..Thanks for this lovely comment Crystal!

  5. I’m not picky when it comes to gifts. Smaller gifts mean so much more to me. Two years ago I met my boyfriend and he gave me an acorn.
I’ve kept it on my bookshelf. It’s my most prized possession. I love everything he gives me.
    Appreciation goes a long way!
